Shezad and Hussain Manjee, of DHD Films and good friends of mine, invited me to their 4th annual service day at North Texas Food Bank. I felt like this might be a good idea to showcase a company that gives back to the community and how important it is to bring awareness of what these companies actually do. I never realized that hunger is a huge problem right here in the United States and North Texas Food Bank provides access to 170,000 meals for hungry people! That is a lot of meals for only 13 counties and makes you realize that this is a widespread problem all across America. We are all so caught up in our own lives, family, jobs, technology, etc. that all we see is what is in front of us at the moment. So think about this, as an individual, a group of friends or an entire company – what if you spent just a few hours of 1 day (or more) what a difference that would make. At first it may seem like a small contribution but imagine if you told your friends or invited other businesses to participate? All the small contributions grow into a large one! I guarantee you that those on the receiving end are VERY grateful for the services provided.
